ACWA's Global Executives program provides an opportunity for leaders in their respective fields to talk informally with peers with a world view and to exchange experiences, ideas and concerns.

Corporate executives and government officials with international responsibilities periodically are invited to participate in roundtable discussions with ACWA speakers. The format is designed to support peer-based discussion with the speakers on issues related to the further development of Northeast Ohio's global economy.

The exchange may include looking at ways to encourage more international corporations to locate in our area, niche market challenges for both U.S. and foreign manufacturers, diversity training for employees, offshore production challenges and more. Workforce recruiting and retention of college graduates also are key goals for our area.

The Global Executives program also addresses the contribution of foreign corporate subsidiaries to the Northeast Ohio economy as a basis for inviting relevant, informed speakers. ACWA collaborates with the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce and the City of Akron in our outreach.
